Spinning into Healthy on my Spin Bike

 I think I can

It’s official, I made it to 7 days on the Spin Bike. In 14 more days, a habit will be born.
The first three days were easiest because I dangled a carrot in front of my face. Sort of. My husband set up the spin bike facing a movie projector in our basement.
I found a dvd (remember those) that I LOVE and only allowed myself to watch while spinning. No spinning. No movie. Pride and Prejudice had me laughing and swooning all the way through those first few spin bike sessions.

It's so boring

My Spin Bike is similar to this one.
By Day 6, I remembered how much I HATE working out. My movie was over and I was bored out of my mind. How long have I been on this bike? Two minutes?! Why is this taking so long?
My husband, on the other hand, finds his reward in the midst of exercising. He appreciates the journey. Since the journey is more of a task for me, I have to find new ways to bait myself through the process.

Motivating Myself

To motivate myself, I wear makeup and take after workout selfies. My eldest son finds it peculiar, but 'getting ready' to work out makes it more like an event than a chore. Plus, I like to test my makeup to see if it will melt. It doesn’t.
I'm hooked on Sweet Minerals because it looks natural and wears like second skin. Products used are shown below with links to my online store.
This blog is another way that I keep myself motivated. I love to write, so typing the thoughts that ramble through my mind is a paradise of its own sort. Then, there's the whole accountability element. Gotta finish the work out to blog about it.

How do you keep yourself motivated?

I created this hair on accident and it has become my go to method for soft, stretched natural hair. Stay tuned for deets in the next post.

Meanwhile, I got myself all prettied up only to get tomato-ed by the husband. Check out the video short for some laughs.

All the product details are listed below the video.
